As the chief executive officer of B. D’Uva Development, Bruno D’Uva focuses on residential and senior living developments. Bruno D’Uva is also an entrepreneur, having opened in 2009 the Tuscan Bistro Bar in Toms River, New Jersey.
Winner of the Open Table Diner’s Choice Award for 2016, the restaurant features family-style dining with a select menu of Italian entrees. The first course is hot antipasti appetizers, such as fried mozzarella, rice balls, mussels, and green beans, all in a marinara sauce. Pastas make up the second course, including Italian macaroni and cheese, penne vodka, and orrechetti.
For the main course, diners can choose three of the following: eggplant or chicken parmigiana, chicken marsala, heirloom chicken, meatballs, and scarpariello wings. Desserts and salads complement the meal.
Happy hour at the Tuscan Bistro Bar is from 3-7 p.m. weekdays and all night on Thursdays. The restaurant’s bar selections range from beer to sangria and mixed drinks to the house wine. Bar food items include nachos, fries, pizza, wings, and tuna.
Catering services can accommodate any size group in elegant surroundings. With sufficient notice, the restaurant can prepare off-site meals.
